This 52-minute video features Mark Curtis as moderator of a pro-and-con panel discussion. Proponents of medical aid in dying were represented by our own Tom Fitch, MD, and Dwight Moore, PhD. Opponents were represented by Mohamed Zuhdi Jasser, MD, past president of the Arizona Medical Association. The first 10 minutes of the program is devoted to telling the story of Tempra Jones and her decision to end her suffering through medical aid in dying (MAID). This Channel 12 story won the prestigious regional Edward R. Murrow award, one of the highest honors in journalism. The story was produced by 12 News anchor Mark Curtis and videographer Roberto Duarte.
