As those of you who are familiar with the results of our Arizona resident poll know, there is very little opposition (13%) to Medical Aid in Dying (MAID) in our state. Our support numbers are pretty good at 60% but the real opportunity is the large portion of residents (27%) who are unsure or undecided.

We are confident that a majority of the undecided group would, in fact, become supporters if they only knew more about the issue and about MAID. This is why educating the public is one of AZELO’s main objectives.

You can help us to increase awareness of this issue and our cause by identifying groups to whom we can make presentations. We’ve been in touch with many organizations who are currently planning their fall education program and have been very successful in getting sessions scheduled.

Our typical presentation lasts for 60-90 minutes, including a Question & Answer session. I have a summary of the program that I can provide to any interested organization. These are generally quite interactive programs, and we get very good feedback on them.
